Build a spooky haunted mirror for Halloween

Smart Mirrors are a cool thing to build. But this spooky Haunted Mirror is just the thing for Haloween.

Built by Circuit Help, the Haunted Haloween Mirror looks just like a regular mirror. Right up until a ghoul jumps out at you.

We think it'll be just the thing for scaring people at parties.

"We transformed a regular two-way mirror by adding a 40” TV monitor right behind it," says Circuit-Help."This monitor is connected to our main controller, a Raspberry Pi 3."

The go on to explain: "It may look like a regular mirror at first glance but once someone comes close to it, an ultrasonic sensor is triggered, and the zombies start trying to claw their way out of the mirror!"

It's not just for Haloween. Circuit Help mention that the mirror could also be used for gaming or display projects. It'd make a neat advertising solution too.

Don't forget that the issue 51 of The MagPi has spooktacular Haloween projects. You'll learn how to make a Skeleton Dodger game in Scratch, a Screaming Pumpkin and a spooky LED light display.
